BNB StUdios was created out of passion for music and visual arts.

We have a strong background in communications, film, and advertising. We love music and art and aim to create exciting and memorable content for musicians, bands, festivals, and other artistic projects.

Jen Doerksen

Journalism Photographer, filmmaker, director, writer and producer.

Jen Doerksen is a nonbinary communications professional specializing in digital music marketing. Starting out as a photographer and photojournalist while attending Red River College for communications, Jen now has 7+ years of experience in videography, video editing, and photography, with a big love for documentation. Currently, Jen co-owns BNB Studios with Buio Assis, works as day to day management and marketingmanag for the Canadian band The Sheepdogs, and provides digital marketing and label services through Signal Noise Music. Previously, Jen was marketing manager at indie label Birthday Cake Records.

Jen thrives in creative and collaborative atmospheres and loves working closely with others. With BNB Studios, Jen has had the joy of working with the likes of Winnipeg Folk Festival, The Bros. Landreth, Begonia, Matt Foster, Boy Golden, Super Duty Tough Work, Cluster Festival, Misfit Music Management, Ila Barker, Sierra Noble, William Prince, Leith Ross, Field Guide, Roman Clarke, and many other incredibly talented artists and arts organizations.

Julio César Assis (Buio)

Photographer, filmmaker and director.

Julio Assis is a Director of Photography and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Brazil, attended university for graphic design and worked in the field with advertising agencies before slowly migrating to photography. After working in photo studios and learning to master studio lighting, he started working full time as a photographer and soon after, as a videographer. After to moving to Canada and finding joy and purpose working with music and arts he start BNB Studios along with Jen Doerksen. Julio loves to create beautiful images and be behind the camera or on set, for the last few years he had the pleasure to work with a lots amazing artists in Winnipeg and beyond.
